From a basic instinct to a song, successful transmutation of anger and frustration, the experience of how despicable and ruthless human beings can be.... to music, a non-violent outlet, meant for gathering and sharing and joyful times with kindred souls. When you come to terms with how unfair the world can be, and try to imagine a divine punishment for the ruthless, you realize Dante's Inferno can hardly be beaten.
lyrics
~KILLING~
MAY YOU ROT IN HELL
I don't have, I don't have
anything else to wish you
Cuz I'm wild, I'm controlled,
I'm an animal that's been hurt
I wanna bite, wanna fight
wanna see you feel as I do.
I'll be damned, see your pain
face to face, with your own worse fear
SO YOU UNDERSTAND
you own my thoughts, own my lymph
on your legs all your red guts hang
Without head, move along,
like all others in that spew and spill
there's your body, unaware
walking around, like a zombie
hold your head by its hair
swinging it like a lantern
NOW YOU UNDERSTAND
And your head looks at us
weeping in all its despair
What I wish, I don't know,
even needed to go and ask Dante
I can't tell, nor describe,
why I believe in his Inferno.

Malebranche's Claws
One thing is, you think you're wise
something else, you really are
You own my thoughts, own my lymph
on your legs all your red guts hang
hold your head by its hair
swinging it like a lantern
there's your body, unaware
walking around, like a zombie
and your head looks at us
weeping in all its despair
NOW YOU UNDERSTAND
MAY YOU ROT IN HELL

I've enjoyed The Wake since the 90s. The new album feels like a trip to right where they left off! Goth Rock at it's best! I can't wait to see where they go from here!! aklosowski22
It's so hard to pick just one favourite track. The whole album is just so magical, so special!
It's like a warm shroud of enveloping, nourishing darkness. Onyx Tomb

Cinematic-scale goth from Reflection Black with catchy melodies, dreamy synths, punchy rhythms, and a sense of timelessness. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2023
New wave of Gothic Rock at it's finest. This band has top level talent from well renowned acts involved so wasn't the least bit surprised upon hearing the opening track. If you miss late 80's to mid 90's gothic rock bands, I can't recommend this one enough. m4rkos1334
